Hello friends,
Going to dive right into it today, pretty swamped shifting around some inventory between the storage units and home.
Tariff prices starting to take effect…
A small preview of what’s to come if tariffs stick around. Different companies are taking different approaches. Companies like EE are preparing customers for the worst, implementing tariff charges upfront. Other companies are sticking to original MSRPs but adding notation that the price may increase. Other companies may not have gotten the memo and accidentally published at or below MSRP with no tariff notation.
Ultimately though, pretty crazy to see a $59.99 MSRP figure pushed up to $74.99.
Does this force collectors to quit? Do we see these figures ending up on clearance due to low sales? Or do we see massive UNDER-production and these become some of the most sought after figures of the modern era?
Time will tell how this all pans out…
2026 Marvel Legends Leaks
Take these with a grain of salt, but truthfully they’re usually pretty accurate.
Secret Wars Wave 2
Constrictor
Falcon
Daredevil
Spider-man
Absorbing Man
Unknown sixth figure
Deadpool and Wolverine
Wolverine
Blade
X-23
Cowboy Deadpool
Cassandra Nova
Astonishing X-men 2-pack
Colossus
Kitty Pryde
Spider-man Retro
Spider-man 2099
Uncanny Spider-man
Spider-man/Venom
OWL
Hypno Hustler
Cardiac
Incredible Hulk
Abomination
While more detail on the figures is needed, it’s definitely not a bad start to the leak list for 2026. Hard to be disappointed in more Venom, Wolverine, and Spidey. A bit too early to do anything with this information, other than perhaps offloading any Spider-Man 2099 retros you may still have laying around. I wonder if that is a reprint or a new mold?
Also interesting to see ‘Uncanny Spider-Man’ getting a figure made so quickly after his comic debut. I’m not surprised though, because he looks SICK and would make for a great figure. Just depends how well it translates to non-comic book customers. Hopefully it’s fan channel!
Posted some toys I’ve been buying…
These always seem to be your guys’ favorite posts of mine. If you are a paid subscriber, it gives you a peek into what I’ve personally been buying along with some high level analysis. Seems to be pretty eye-opening for a lot of people. Check it out here:
Disney turning it around?
After a week era for Marvel aside from Deadpool and Wolverine, is the upcoming Thunderbolts film where Marvel/Disney finally turn it around? It has been awhile since we’ve heard of great test screenings from a Marvel flick, so hopefully this isn’t just a marketing campaign and is actually true.
Not sure how well these figures would perform, historically they’ve all been weak except Bucky, but maybe if they knock it out of the park they could become household names.
Bucky, for reference:
Minecraft exceeding expectations…
It was obvious Minecraft was going to be a box office success. Not because the movie was going to be good, but because when you have a multi-hundred million person fanbase they WILL turn out to see a very meme-able movie. While I’m not surprised it has nabbed the title of the highest grossing video game movie opening ever, I’m mostly surprised by this:
People are actually buying this $10 toy…for $50. In hindsight it seems so obvious. Such a meme. So stupid. So dumb. How could you not buy this as a gag gift? But I really didn’t expect a middle-aged man in plain clothes action figure to be one of the best quick flips so far of 2025.
I missed the boat on this one. And I’m definitely not chasing the trend and ordering now. But I really did expect this to be an Ollie’s peg warmer.
Can’t win them all I guess.
Alright friends, wrapping it up here. Huge weekend ahead for me as do some overhaul/organization of my holds and figure out what is going where. Wish me luck!
I knew the meme was 2 good to pass up I'm a little fish so I bought 10 of Steve great content as always cheers
Spent so much time debating ordering the Steve figure but ultimately ended up passing, cant believe how well it’s doing but I also can believe it lol
